H13A will manifest as a human character in Genesis
, a new film slated for release in early 2021. Genesis
weaves together Oliver’s past works as the DNA for the new Hood By Air collection, as seen through Oliver’s innately unique lens. The brand just celebrated their 13 year history
and is currently part of the Met’s 2020 “About Time” exhibit.
H13A is the representation of community, family and the New World Citizen. The visuals presented are created in collaboration with Jacuzzi – a Hood By Air muse turned developed collaborator. Each of the H13A drops focuses on re-identifying the very foundation of this created community. This shoot is in a way, an introduction of what’s to come as a uniform, presented through the lens of a muse.
Hood by Air’s effortless taste towards contemporary streetwear revealed itself in 2006. Already ahead of his time, the collection reflected the non-conforming, gritty and experimental side of New York’s subterranean fashion scene. Hood by Air disrupted the industry with unrepentantly diverse campaigns demonstrating the fluidity and equal opportunity of the brand. Soon becoming recognizable for its prominent HBA logo, celebrities like Kanye West, A$AP Rocky, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Ciara, Drake, 2 Chainz, and more began wearing the brands most illustrious pieces. Famous for their COOKIE, SPIRAL, and most recently, MATRIX logos, the brand relentlessly works to create next generation staple pieces.
Along with the brand return, the re-conceptualized fashion house announced the new entity as four distinct entities: HOOD BY AIR, HBA, MUSEUM and ANONYMOUS CLUB. HOOD BY AIR will set the theme each year with an event or activation. These ideas and themes will be represented and reinterpreted as collectible fashion products, aiming to redefine a luxury brand. HBA will be a direct to consumer platform, MUSEUM will be the home to archives from the brand’s first incarnation and ANONYMOUS CLUB, an independent platform supporting the cultivation of emerging talents
